About Us

L.J.Arts was formed back in summer of 2022 by me, Luke Rayner. I am a high-functioning autistic person who is promoting disabled people as entrepreneurs and small business owners. I have had a love of candles since I was of a young age.

I am totally self taught by doing my own research and looking on the Internet. I started out in the kitchen at home experimenting with wax, colours and fragrance oils and began selling to family, friends and the local craft markets and farmers markets.

I try to maintain high standards and awareness of recycling and offering a refill service, something which very few candlemakers do.

In May 2023, L.J. Arts became L.J. Candles and as I wanted an opportunity to expand, I had the chance to lease a studio at the Hylands Estate in Chelmsford, Essex. And so , a new chapter begins........
